First Anniversary Weekend…
This weekend we celebrated our first anniversary! I am still amazed at how fast this year flew by!
On Friday night we grilled out hot dogs and cocktails on the patio and talked about how everyone warned us “the first year is sooo hard” and “GOOD LUCK, that first year is tough!”. Well, either we did something wrong or everyone was crazy because this year was great! Not to say we didn’t have spats or that there wasn’t a learning curve but we really enjoyed out first year as a married couple.
Saturday morning, our actual anniversary, I actually had plans of my own and attended a shower for my Big Sis from Meredith, Becky. She was thrown a Pampered Chef Wedding shower so we had delicious food, learned about some cool kitchen gadgets, and had the opportunity to shower Becky with gifts off of her Pampered Chef registry. This was definitely a cool idea for brides to get some great necessities and have guests pass on good recipes!

After Becky wonderful shower Albie and I spent the afternoon together before getting ready to go out to dinner. I think I was most excited to eat the top tier of our wedding cake and toast with the champagne that was gifted to us when we got engaged.

Sunday we washed our cars, ate left overs from The Pit and did normal Sunday cleaning and chores. It felt good to have a weekend at home with Albie.
We had a great First Anniversary weekend so thank you to those of you who texted and left me facebook posts! I can now look forward to our week in the Keys coming up!

I’ve never been to The Pitt, we’re planning to go in 3-4 weeks. I need to start a list of restaurant recommendations to know which places to try that people have recommended.
Thanks Lauren! The Pit was awesome!! We had quite the wait because we forgot we needed reservations since it was a Saturday but it was well worth it! We got The Pit sampler before our meals and it was a TON of food, but still pretty reasonably priced! Let me know if you go and enjoy it!
