NC State vs. Boston College…

October 20, 2009

Another terrible loss for the wolfpack :(

Although the weekend was great and it was a terrific reason to take a mini-vacation, that game really was terrible. The only good thing we kept saying was “at least it’s not raining.”

Boston College has it’s own weird rules of no tailgating so we drank some “pre-game beers” at a local bar,  Mary Ann’s. Mary Ann’s has a sign when you enter that says “Worst Bar in Boston” and I can’t say they are exaggerating.  Cash Only: Check! No Windows: Check! Bartender sleeping on the bar: Check!

It was still a good time and I learned how to play Buck Hunter, a skill all should have! Albie of course won but my Aunt Jeanne  shot the most turkey’s in the bonus round we got.

Alumni Stadium

Outside of the stadium is so pretty, especially this time of year with all of the leaves changing colors. We didn’t get a chance to see any more of campus because of where we were allowed to park so we just saw the walk to the stadium. Alumni Stadium is set kind of in a very nice neighborhood, very weird but very pretty.

The student section

The stands didn’t get very full, but the State fans really showed up. We ran into NC State people all weekend which was fun too.  The BC student section stayed standing and jumping the whole time but when your winning by so much I’m sure it’s a great time.

My View of the game

My View of the game

Leading up to the game I was super excited about my front row tickets. When I got there I realized front row really isn’t great. People walk in front of you the whole game to get from one side to the other, Kids are left to run around, step on you, or throw popcorn.  Our “favorite” part of the front row seats was the view. We watched the cheerleaders the WHOLE game.

I will give the cheerleaders credit, they stayed “peppy” the whole time and worked really hard for a really bad loss.

Lots of Stunts

Lots of Stunts

So thats really it from the game, Lots of cheerleaders and not a lot of football. Since we were all the way in one end zone the teams only came down if they were about to score which wasn’t that often for us.  Final score was 52 BC -20 us so like I said “at least it didn’t rain.”

At least it didn’t rain, and you didn’t complain once about how cold it was, nor mention this is your hometown, born in Boston.

Just imagine if we weren’t allowed to park!
