Cranford-King Wedding Weekend Part 1…

April 26, 2010

My good friend Ashley got married this past Saturday and Albie and we drove down to Myrtle Beach for the weekend.

We actually got down to Wilmington on Friday afternoon and surprised my mom with having my Brother in town for her birthday so we got to go the beach and have some drinks on the water as a whole family to celebrate.

Saturday morning we got up super early to take the ferry from Fort Fisher to Southport. It doesn’t really save much time but it was fun and a nice way to start our trip.

Cute huh? (Let me restate, it was WAY early)

Once we got into Myrtle Beach I had time to wake up a bit and check into our hotel before we went to see Albie’s Dad and meet his girlfriend. Albie’s dad actually passed on a notebook that Albie’s Grand-Dad has been compiling full of family history and pictures and I was thrilled to get that and look forward to preserving it and adding to it.  After touring Clark’s new house we went to lunch (where my eyes were bigger than my stomach as usual!)

After lunch we headed back to the hotel to take naps, iron wrinkly clothes and get ready for the wedding! After having rained all morning we were super excited to see the sun out just in time for the ceremony:
